Fashion Night Out 2011!!!

Fashion Night Out 2011 is tomorrow and I like so many other Fashionistas can not wait!!!! Here in SA the place to be is going to be the Shops at La Cantera. They are having numerous events at the shops from lite eats and treats to full red carpet fashion shows. San Antonio is finally trying to get on the fashion map and we need to do all we can to drive this!! Make sure you plan ahead - parking will be crazy! Dress to impress because you never know who might drop by and come ready to enjoy my 3 favorite things- FASHION, FOOD, and FRIENDS!!  Contemporary Art and High Style Merge




The Shops at La Cantera, is offering an epic event filled with stylish surprises on Thursday, September 8 from 6 to 9 p.m. Shoppers will be treated to a wide range of perks, including merchant incentives, giveaways and live entertainment. In addition, customers who spend $200 or more from 6 p.m. Thursday, September 8 through 6 p.m. Sunday, September 11, will receive a red patent leather clutch, while supplies last. Receipts can be redeemed at The Shops at La Cantera’s customer service.



Models and Mannequins: A Passion for Fashion



As part of this ultimate fashion soirée, enjoy an exhibition entitled Models and Mannequins: A Passion for Fashion. Eight established and emerging artists from the Blue Star Contemporary Art Center unveil works of art on recycled mannequins. The result is a varied and exciting interpretation of two industries -- art and fashion -- merging on a replica of the human form. The Shops at La Cantera and Blue Star Contemporary Art Center also are teaming up to help raise essential funding for Blue Star’s operations and exhibitions, as well as satellite exhibits, MOSAIC educational programming, lectures, workshops, and free Family Days.



On Wednesday, September 7 from 7 to 10 pm, Blue Star Contemporary Art Center will host a private preview party to celebrate the Models and Mannequins exhibition. VIP tickets are $75 per person. Blue Star members will receive a special discounted rate of $50 per person. The event features a celebrity emcee, live music, fashions from Neiman Marcus, signature martinis courtesy of Grey Goose Vodka, a live auction, complimentary valet and more.



VIP ticket holders also receive additional perks the next evening on Thursday, September 8 during La Cantera’s Fashion’s Night Out, including:

Exclusive access to the Grey Goose Vodka Lounge, located in front of Tiffany’s, from 6 to 9 pm.

A $20 gift card, while supplies last, for VIP shoppers who spend $150 or more during Fashion’s Night Out event. For every $20 gift card distributed, The Shops at La Cantera will donate $10 to Blue Star, up to $2,000.
